DX Vision of MCJ Group
MCJ Group is moving forward with digitalization across the entire Group as part of its goal to realize its long-term vision of “Driving growth by combining our strengths in the hardware product business with the addition of service offerings.”
EEver since Mouse Computer was founded, the Group has served to meet the diverse needs of our users by linking them to the latest innovations in technology. We have always been quick to identify the needs of users and trends in technology, which we then use as a base from which to sell our customizable products through e-commerce channels. In doing so, we have established ourselves as a leader in the personal computer-related business, differentiating ourselves from the competition in three areas: price, quality, and after-sales support. Through this, we have been able to build a relationship of trust with our customers.
In setting out our Mid-Term Management Plan for FY2023 to 2025, we aim to become a company that brings unique value by providing hardware and service packages that meet the needs of businesses and individual customers.
Advancements in digital technology are blurring the boundaries between content, platforms, and hardware; and with that comes more intense competition. The amount of data and information is also increasing, and the needs of users are becoming ever more diverse and complex in response. Against this backdrop, by pushing ahead with the process of digital transformation, remaining one step ahead of the game in offering our customers the best possible solutions to their needs, and adapting to this changing market environment, we aim to carve out a unique spot for ourselves within our industry.
Specifically, we will look to revamp our systems and optimize our business processes to expand our business and improve customer satisfaction. We are also using data analysis and AI to quickly identify market trends and develop services tailored to the needs of the market. In this way, we aim to create innovative products and strengthen our existing business while improving customer satisfaction and creating a new business model for the Group.

1.Modernization and Overall Optimization
We are currently in the process of modernizing the systems used across all our Group companies by replacing the old legacy systems to ensure that all companies in the Group will use the same SaaS platform in the future. When we introduce the new system to Group companies, we first review the existing business processes to learn how to optimize them based on SaaS best practices. This allows us to build a sustainable enterprise system that minimizes the need for customization and removes technical roadblocks. Upon revamping our system, we will consolidate our engineers from the IT departments into a single team responsible for system development and operations across the entire Group, enabling us to take on new technological challenges.

2.Opening Up of MCJ Group Data
We will build a data lake on the cloud to collect and analyze the enterprise system data held by each Group company. This will eliminate siloization, a phenomenon where data is scattered across individual companies, enabling consistent data analysis throughout the entire Group. By using this system, we will be able to identify customer needs more accurately for all Group companies and make faster decisions. This will also accelerate the development of new services tailored to customer needs. Furthermore, it will allow us to track movements across the entire Group’s supply chain and our partners, leading to continuous optimization and creating more value for the Group as a whole.

3.Use of Generative AI

We are using generative AI to enhance both individual and company-wide productivity, as well as customer support satisfaction. For our employees, we are introducing generative AI assistants to make their day-to-day tasks more efficient. We are also implementing generative AI chatbots to handle inquiries in the general affairs, accounting, and information systems departments, which helps reduce the workload in these areas and improve business operations. Additionally, we are introducing AI chatbots at our customer support center, enabling quicker responses and boosting customer satisfaction.
4.Developing DX Talent

We provide our employees with opportunities for education and reskilling to help advance the Company in its process of digital transformation (DX). By offering courses on digital literacy, data analysis, generative AI, and security training, we are building an environment where employees can acquire the knowledge and skills required for DX. Through this, we are fostering a culture that encourages employees to take on new challenges, with the goal of improving the competitiveness of the entire company. Additionally, we have created an internal community where DX-related information can be shared and discussed, promoting inter-employee communication and knowledge-sharing.
DX Promotion System
We have established the DX Promotion Committee as an organization to promote digitalization. This committee consists of President and the heads of various departments in the MCJ. The committee meets once every three months to monitor progress and promote DX.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

As part of our efforts toward digitalization, we have established KPIs, which we periodically review, to promote DX (digital transformation) activities. MCJ’s digital transformation is aimed at further deepening our long-term vision. Specifically, we aim to increase productivity by optimizing the value chain, which will allow us to develop products tailored to customer needs more quickly. To this end, we are tracking the progress of our DX initiatives using ROIC (return on invested capital) as a key management metric.
