These are two of the four “core values” set out in the MCJ Group’s Corporate Vision.
We believe that the fundamental purpose of a company is to continuously aim to improve economic and social value for its stakeholders through its business activities.
To put it another way, it is not about pursuing profit and growth simply for our own personal or company benefit; it is about building positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders and conducting business in a way that seeks to ensure that society and others will also benefit from our growth and ensuring that all parties can exist together and in harmony.
It is our belief that the pursuit of this will result in sustainable management and the building of a better society.
In order to pursue “responsible business activities” in a “sustainable manner,” the MCJ Group strives not only to comply with all laws and regulations, but also to build a corporate culture in which we do things the right way and with absolute sincerity.
As a manager, it is my role to take the lead in showing such ethical and responsible behavior and thinking. We must communicate to Group employees the importance of remaining true to the values that we at MCJ Group pursue and of continuously striving to be the best we can be. In trying to be the best company that we can be, we look seriously at a variety of issues, including the constantly changing and evolving laws and regulations, the values considered important by society, and best practices. In doing this, we pursue improvements in corporate value and aim to contribute to the development of a sustainable society.
